Job Summary: The Business Proposal Writer is responsible for developing high-quality proposals, RFP responses, and business presentations to secure new opportunities. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, research, and writing skills to effectively communicate our company's capabilities, value propositions, and competitive advantages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proposal Development: Write, edit, and format business proposals, RFP responses, and supporting documentation.
- Content Research & Strategy: Conduct research to understand client needs, industry trends, and competitive positioning.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and technical teams to gather relevant information and align proposals with business objectives.
- Customization & Compliance: Tailor proposals to meet client specifications while ensuring compliance with RFP guidelines.
- Quality Assurance: Review proposals for clarity, coherence, grammar, and overall effectiveness.
- Process Improvement: Maintain and update a repository of proposal templates, case studies, and standardized responses for efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 4+ years in business proposal writing, RFP management, or related roles.
- Writing Skills: Strong ability to draft compelling, persuasive, and error-free content.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with business development, sales processes, and contract negotiations.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with proposal management tools (e.g., RFPIO, Loopio) and MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
