We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reinstatement Project Manager to oversee and manage reinstatement operations within the water utilities sector for a leading main contractor. The successful candidate will ensure that reinstatement works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality, while maintaining compliance with all industry regulations and client specifications.

Location: Our team is based in Southall, with regular travel to our yard in Heathrow. This is an office or site based role.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Coordination: Plan and schedule reinstatement works, ensuring alignment with project timelines and client requirements. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to coordinate activities and resolve issues. Manage resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to ensure project efficiency.
  • Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day reinstatement operations, including road surfaces, pavements, and landscaping works. Ensure reinstatement works meet required specifications, including National Joint Utilities Group (NJUG) and Highways standards. Monitor and manage the performance of teams, ensuring work is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Health, Safety, and Compliance: Promote a strong health and safety culture across all project activities. Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, including NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act) and HSE standards. Conduct site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure high standards of workmanship. Conduct site inspections and address any defects or non-conformance issues promptly. Ensure proper documentation and certification of completed works.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders. Provide regular updates and reports to clients and senior management. Handle customer queries and complaints in a professional and timely manner. Monitor project budgets and ensure financial targets are met. Identify and manage variations, ensuring accurate cost control and reporting. Assist in preparing valuations and final accounts.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in managing reinstatement works, ideally within the water utilities or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of reinstatement methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with NRSWA, NJUG guidelines, and other relevant regulations.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities, with experience managing teams and subcontractors.
  • Proficient in preparing project documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and progress reports.
  • Budget management and cost control expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Ideally a NRSWA Supervisor Certification but not essential.
  • Ideally SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or equivalent health and safety qualification.
  • Full UK driving license.

Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
