Somak Luxury Travel, based in Harrow, is an award-winning tour operator with over 50 years of experience specializing in African safari holidays. We offer a range of exciting safari experiences in destinations such as Kenya, South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, and Tanzania, alongside luxurious beach retreats in Zanzibar and the Mombasa coast.
We are seeking a full-time hybrid Reservations Agent to join Somak Luxury Travel. In this role, you will be responsible for managing tailor-made holiday bookings, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining effective communication with clients. The ideal candidate will play a key role in creating personalized travel itineraries, nurturing client relationships, and identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell various travel services and experiences. This position is based in Harrow, with in-office work required Monday through Wednesday, remote work on Thursday and Friday, and one Saturday per month from 9 am to 1 pm.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and manage bespoke holidays tailored to clients' preferences, ensuring unique and memorable travel experiences.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and fostering repeat business.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional travel services, packages, and exclusive experiences to enhance the client journey.
- Offer expert advice on destinations, itineraries, and services, guiding clients to make informed decisions.
- Manage client inquiries, bookings, and related administrative tasks efficiently and professionally.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring clients are supported and satisfied throughout the booking process.
- Provide administrative support to the team as needed.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends to offer clients innovative and relevant travel solutions.
- A genuine passion for African safari holidays, with demonstrable knowledge of the destinations we offer.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Travel Consultant or in a similar client-facing role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in reservation systems and MS Office.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a timely manner.
- Competitive salary with commission based on performance targets.
