About the role:
We are looking for a dedicated, capable and detail-oriented management accountant to manage the financial reporting and business partner with the company's corporate functions. These are: the corporate department, IT department, sales and marketing, and the finance department. The role will form part of the newly created central finance function based in our London office. The company uses D365 Finance & Operations as its finance system, so the role involves working within this system to create management information on a monthly basis and year-end close.
Key responsibilities:
- Business partner with relevant department heads providing financial support and information
- Contribute to the preparation of the monthly management accounts pack, including the monthly P&L, cashflow, and balance sheet
- Record financial transactions for each department
- Reconcile spending with budget for each department and report variances with commentary
- Liaise with the Indian shared service centre for AP transactions
- Analyse financial performance and contribute to longer-term plans and forecasts
- Understand the cost drivers of each department and recommend methods and strategies for cutting cost
- Maintain records and support external audit efforts
- Input into the preparation of the annual budget, ensuring that the corporate departments complete templates on time
- Make recommendations for improving controls and procedures
- Assisting other team members as needed with month and year-end close processes
Requirements Qualifications:
- CIMA, or ACCA Qualified or part-qualified and in active training
- 2+ years of experience in a similar management accounting role
- Good understanding of month-end close procedures
- Excellent communicator
- Proven ability of working under pressure
- Strong IT skills and familiarity with D365 and the Microsoft Office suite
- Strong attention to detail

- A team player with exposure to different cultures and previous multi-national experience
