A bit about the job: As a Data Solution Architect in Group Architecture, you will be a key member of the strategy and architecture team and work within the business to champion a data driven approach to shape strategic change at Aviva. The role includes the following deliverables:
- A plan for the data architecture work that sets out the activities including analysis, documentation, communications. Then work closely with the wider project team to build this into an achievable plan.
- Documentation of the end-to-end solution incorporating:
- The context for the solution with options and key design decisions.
- Functional and non-functional data requirements.
- Architectural transition states to arrive at the target solution, migration strategies where appropriate.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Expertise in data architecture and solution architecture.
- Experience of working within the insurance industry and knowledge of how data underpins an insurance business.
- Proven background of working on large transformation projects and acting as a thought leader for data.
- Experience and knowledge of working within a data mesh based architecture as a lead architect to plan and shape the solution.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to use different tools, techniques or communication styles to suit the situation and audience.
What you’ll get for this role:
- National Salary up to £65,900 - London Salary up to £88,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
- Bonus opportunity - 10% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
- Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in.
- 29 days holiday plus bank holidays, and you can choose to buy or sell up to 5 days.
