We are recruiting for a Year 1 Teacher to join an Ofsted-rated “Good” Primary School in Selly Oak. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Class Teacher with strong positive behaviour management skills to make a real difference in a lively Key Stage 1 (KS1) setting. This position is starting ASAP and continuing for the full academic year and is covering a maternity leave. As a Year 1 Teacher, your responsibilities will include: Full teaching duties, including planning, preparing, and delivering lessons. Monitoring and assessing student progress in line with the National Curriculum. Managing a class of children with no EHCPs but some challenging behaviours. Implementing positive behaviour management strategies to create a structured routine. Collaborating with colleagues to maintain a supportive teaching environment. Required Skills and Experience Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Experience as a Primary Teacher , ideally in Key Stage 1 (KS1). Excellent behaviour management skills. A strong understanding of the National Curriculum. The ability to adapt and inspire young learners.
