Interim Chief Risk Officer (Fixed Term Contract)
Location: London (hybrid working arrangement, 2 days p/w)
About the Role:
Lutine Bell are working with a dynamic banking organisation, who are seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Risk Officer to join the Executive team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the CEO and Executive team to embed a robust risk management framework.
- Develop and implement frameworks for key risks, including credit, market, operational, and compliance.
- Contribute to the Bank's growth as a member of the Executive Committee.
- Lead the Risk and Compliance function, ensuring it supports the Bank's mission.
- Build and develop a high-performing risk team.
- Report on the Bank’s risk profile to the Executive Team, Board, and Shareholder.
- Represent the Bank to third parties, including government departments.
- Review and update risk appetite in line with strategy.
- Maintain risk awareness across the Bank through education and e-learning.
- Collaborate with Finance on asset valuations and stress testing.
- Assess new products for risk consistency.
- Develop and maintain risk management systems.
- Implement effective monitoring and oversight frameworks.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in risk management, including credit, market, and compliance risks.
- Proven leadership experience as a CRO or senior risk professional.
- Strong technical knowledge across various asset classes.
- In-depth knowledge of retail and commercial banking.
- Ability to influence at the executive level and present to the Board and Shareholder.
