About the role

Reporting to the London-based Chief Content Officer and supported by some of the best technology journalists around the world, the mission of this position is to launch our client\’s flagship brand in the ANZ market – create a compelling editorial product, build an audience, introduce the brand to the local industry, and lay the foundations for a successful thriving media business.

Key tasks:

  • Drive the news agenda, write and edit online content and raise the portfolio\’s digital and newsletter brands;
  • Finding and writing news, interviews, and features;
  • Adapting global stories written by colleagues in the US, Europe, APAC and elsewhere for the ANZ market;
  • Manage daily and weekly newsletters;
  • Produce short and long-form analyses of key trends and market shifts;
  • Distribute stories on social media – including your own account;
  • Present and provide voiceovers for video and podcasts;
  • Represent the brand at industry conferences – attending and hosting;

About the successful candidate

Skills & experience:

  • Extensive 5+ years experience in business / tech journalism;
  • In-depth knowledge of the global and ANZ technology industry;
  • Established network of senior technology industry contacts;
  • Ability to understand the target audience and the issues they face;
  • Technically literate with experience working with CMS, email marketing platforms and the Microsoft365 cloud environment;
  • Strong presentation skills at live presentations and on-stage appearances;
