Patient Billing Representative

Req# 8270 York Hospital York Hospital, York, ME Patient Billing Full Time, Day Shift, 8-5 We have a new opening for a Patient Billing Representative. This is a full time 40 hrs/wk working in Patient Billing. The office hours for this position are M-F 7:30 – 5:00pm. The Patient Billing office is located in York, Maine. This position is Hybrid Remote after an introductory period. Previous billing experience is required for this position. Responsibilities: Billing York Hospital patients including Commercial, Liability, Medicare, Tricare and Medicaid on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Work closely with departments on input, updating and correction of patient insurance accounts. Work closely with patients on Financial Assistance and Self Pay. Follow up with Insurance companies. Credit balance analysis and follow up working closely with billing and accounting on credit balance logs maintaining up to date information. Qualifications: At least 2 years’ experience in healthcare billing, collections, credit balance reporting, or denials management (denials management experience preferred).
