Are you an experienced Buyer with a keen eye for detail and a passion for procurement in the joinery and metalwork industry? We’re a leading company in high-quality bespoke joinery and architectural metalwork, known for our craftsmanship and attention to detail. We are looking for a proactive and organised individual to manage our purchasing needs efficiently.

Position: Buyer

Employment Type: Full-time 38 hours per week (8.00AM to 4.00PM Mon- Fri)

What You’ll Do:

  • Source and procure materials, components, and services for joinery and metalwork projects.
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Maintain and manage supplier relationships to ensure reliable and timely deliveries.
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure materials are available as needed.
  • Research and evaluate new suppliers, materials, and trends to optimize procurement strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding procurement.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
  • Experience in purchasing for joinery, metalwork, or manufacturing sectors is highly desirable.
  • Ability to analyse costs and manage budgets efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisation skills.
  • Confident with using a computer, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
