About the Role:

Hays are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Interim Management Accountant to join the dynamic team at a prestigious higher education organisation in the Plymouth area. This is a full-time role on an interim basis, starting as soon as possible. The position is expected to last until December 2025, with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and manage financial reports and statements.
2. Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
3. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
4. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and university policies.
5. Collaborate with various departments to streamline financial operations.
6. Support the month-end and year-end close processes.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role.
2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
3. Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
4. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
