Vanta Staffing High Wycombe are looking for a Warehouse Shift Leader to work for our local well-established, nationwide client. You will have proven experience within a similar role and be competent in the use of Warehouse Management Systems. The role reports into the Warehouse Management team, supervises, and oversees the entire operations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supervising and assisting with picking, packing and dispatching orders ensuring timely and accurate order fulfilment.
- Supervising, training, developing and motivating a team of approx 16 warehouse operatives.
- Ensuring the safe and effective use of warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet trucks.
- Providing reports and updates to the Warehouse Manager on performance metrics, operational challenges and corrective actions.
- Leading the team through strong leadership, clear communication and employee engagement.
- Ensuring all courier and third-party shipments are processed accurately and within deadlines.
- Daily load sheets achieved and all orders accounted for.
- Ensuring all vehicles are loaded within shift deadlines.
Key Requirements:
- A proven track record as a Warehouse Supervisor/Team Leader is essential.
- Competent in the use of Warehouse Management Systems - experience of Sage 200 would be advantageous.
- High energy people person who can engage with the team, motivate, and inspire.
- Proactive self-starter who can work on their own initiative.
- An effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop, maintain and exploit strong internal and excellent external relationships at all levels.
- IT literacy - Microsoft Office.
- FLT an advantage.
