MK Search are currently working with a well respected medium sized M&E contractor with a turnover of £70m and a strong presence delivering turn-key services to flagship clients who are looking for a mechanical contracts manager to join their London small works business unit. Projects range from £20k- £400k and depending on project values you will have an overview of circa 3-5 schemes (combined values £750k-£1m).

Mechanical Contracts Manager Responsibilities:

  • Manage contract documents, specifications and drawings
  • Management of Health and Safety documentation
  • Responsible for Contract Technical submissions and schedules
  • Preparation of Contract Works programmes
  • Attendance at Client/Professional Team meetings, pre and post Contract Award
  • Sub-Contract negotiation and appointment
  • Liaison with in-house Design Departments
  • Liaison with Client/Contractor Site Management teams
  • Overseeing CDP requirements and Specialists
  • Monthly contract reports, contract applications and account reports
  • Preparation of variations and commercial submissions
  • Management of appointed Project and Site Managers
  • Preparation and management of commissioning programmes

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a proven track record delivering Mechanical projects within the commercial fit out and plant room replacement sectors and the ability to manage multiple projects at any one time.
