This exciting role involves working with our supplier partners and operations teams, providing category-based data and recommendations to maximize drinks performance within the pub. This includes knowledge of key levers to drive drink sales performance across range, pricing, merchandising, and promotional activity; all contributing to Pub Partner's performance against budget and the market. The Pub Partner division consists of over 900 pubs, including the core L&T business, alongside the expanding Franchise business.
Your role as Drinks Category Manager:
- Work closely with the Commercial Lead and the Commercial Manager to identify key volume and profit growth opportunities and convert them into initiatives and activity.
- Work in partnership with our suppliers and the GK brewery to deliver strong collaboration and execution of the drinks strategy.
- Collaborate with the PP Marketing team to deliver a strong, joined-up promotional strategy that drives value for partners and fulfills supplier commitments.
- Support Ops team meetings and outlet visits with the BDMs, providing category-focused advice to improve margin and volume.
- Provide feedback on competitor and supplier activity to Ops teams and central functions, identifying where additional support, opportunities, or training may be required.
- Support the investment programme to influence the drinks category plan upon CAPEX spend.
- Manage and develop the category management and supplier engagement of the online tools, including PP.NET and Ops Hub.
- Collaborate with the Commercial and Finance teams to ensure that reporting available to Operations teams is focused, accessible, and easy to engage with.
