Job Opportunity : Senior Performance Engineer

Our client is seeking a Senior Performance Engineer to join their digital web space team for a 12-month project in Melbourne. This role requires 2 days in the office.

Location : Melbourne, Australia (Onsite role, 2 days in the office)

Responsibilities :

• Drive a Performance Engineering approach across the SDLC.
• Contribute to platform integration and improve system performance through analysis and testing.
• Implement and monitor quality metrics, including trend analysis of discrepancies and defects.
• Write user and infrastructure stories reflecting NFR requirements for software components.
• Validate NFRs for software and infrastructure user stories.
• Develop performance automation scripts to validate Non-Functional Requirements criteria.
• Investigate and address recurring problems.
• Validate scripts that deploy software components onto the infrastructure.
• Ensure adherence to quality and SDLC procedures, with a focus on NFRs throughout the SDLC.
• Proactively manage risk, meet policy and compliance requirements, perform controls, and adhere to processes.

Ideal Candidate :

• Advanced hands-on expertise in Performance Center and Gatling.
• Strong skills in scripting, execution, results analysis, and client-side performance testing.
• Familiarity with chaos engineering principles is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership and technical proficiency.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
