A reputable consultancy in London is seeking a CDM Principal Designer to provide expert guidance on health, safety, and compliance during the pre-construction and construction phases of projects. This role involves ensuring that all design and planning activities meet regulatory requirements, and that risks to those involved in the project are effectively managed., The CDM Principal Designer will be responsible for fulfilling the duties outlined under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM). This includes coordinating health and safety aspects of design work, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring that all parties are informed of their obligations. The candidate will collaborate closely with clients, design teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to promote a culture of safety and regulatory compliance., * Acting as the lead professional in implementing and managing CDM duties from project inception through completion.

  • Reviewing and influencing design proposals to eliminate or mitigate risks during construction, use, and maintenance.

  • Advising clients and design teams on their obligations under CDM regulations, ensuring legal compliance.

  • Preparing and maintaining relevant CDM documentation, including pre-construction information and health and safety files.

  • Coordinating with project stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and understanding of health and safety considerations.
