We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting children aged 0-5 years with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) within our inclusive nursery setting. The SEND Practitioner will work closely with children, families, and other professionals to create an inclusive environment that fosters the development and well-being of all children., * Manage the educational needs of children with SEND, ensuring they receive appropriate support tailored to their individual requirements.

  • Develop and implement personalised learning plans in collaboration with parents, teachers, and external specialists.

  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to promote understanding and engagement in the learning process.

  • Provide guidance and support to nursery staff regarding best practices for working with children with SEND.

  • Monitor and assess children’s progress, adjusting strategies as necessary to ensure optimal development.

  • Foster a nurturing environment that encourages children’s independence and self-esteem.

  • Drive initiatives that promote inclusion within the nursery setting, ensuring all children feel valued and supported.

  • Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting is essential.

  • Strong understanding of SEND legislation and best practices in supporting children with additional needs.

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, families, and colleagues.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a calm and organised approach.

  • A background in Early Years or school SEN support is highly desirable.
