At Jigsaw, we’re on a mission to transform the way professional services and financial institutions work. We do this by helping our clients organise, visualise and use their data (think Figma or Canvas but for the ‘City’). Our clients include the world’s biggest consultancies, leading financial institutions and top law firms.
Jigsaw was founded by two seasoned entrepreneurs, Stephen and Travis. This is their second venture together; their first was acquired by a US private equity firm and went on to become a billion-dollar company and a household name in professional service firms across the world. Jigsaw is now on a growth trajectory few Series A companies achieve – putting us in the top quartile SaaS companies globally. Today we proudly serve thousands of users from nearly two hundred businesses worldwide, who love our products and use them everyday.
But we’re only getting started! We have ambitious goals and we’re looking for talented people to help us achieve them.
We\’re not about the corporate grind; instead, we thrive on creativity, enthusiasm, and a touch of humour to make magic happen.
We hire people with high ownership and a bias for action. Then we trust and empower them to do their best work.
Role Overview:
Jigsaw is looking for an experienced Team Lead to join our growing team. In this critical leadership role, you\’ll guide and mentor a team of designers responsible for shaping the user experience and interface of our cutting-edge tool—one that helps legal, accounting, and other professionals visualize complex legal structures, processes, and relationships with clarity and ease. You’ll play a central role in setting the direction, driving collaboration, and ensuring high standards across the team.
This is not a typical design challenge – You’ll be shaping a tool that empowers non-designers to visually communicate their ideas with clarity and confidence. As the team lead, you’ll oversee and support your team as they think deeply about how to spark user engagement, guide discovery, and bring structure to complexity. It’s a rare and rewarding opportunity that calls for creativity, a strong sense of user empathy, and the ability to lead others through ambiguity toward impactful solutions.
You’ll get to…
As a Lead at Jigsaw, your leadership will directly influence how legal, accounting, and other professionals interact with and solve complex problems. You’ll guide your team in delivering impactful, user-centered solutions, ensuring alignment with Jigsaw’s overall product strategy. Your responsibilities will include:
Lead and Inspire the Team: Take charge of a dynamic team, helping them create intuitive, user-centric interfaces that simplify complex legal concepts. Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement, while providing mentorship, feedback, and professional development to drive team growth.
Mentorship & Development: Serve as a coach and mentor, cultivating a psychologically safe environment that encourages open communication and creative experimentation. Provide leadership that empowers your team to tackle challenges creatively while maintaining a high standard of quality. Set clear goals for the team and regularly assess progress, offering guidance to keep projects on track.
Strategic Vision & Execution: Define and execute the strategy by translating high-level product goals into actionable plans. Break down complex challenges into clear, manageable tasks and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with Jigsaw\’s vision.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and engineers to align on project goals, ensuring solutions are not only user-friendly but also technically feasible. Lead and facilitate reviews, iterating based on feedback to refine the product experience.
Ownership of Direction: Oversee the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity concepts, ensuring they align with Jigsaw’s language and brand identity. Take ownership of the process from ideation to final implementation, maintaining consistency and quality across all touchpoints.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies. Foster a culture of innovation within your team, ensuring that Jigsaw’s practices stay cutting-edge and aligned with user needs.
Documentation & Quality Assurance: Lead the creation and maintenance of comprehensive specifications, style guides, and assets to ensure consistency and smooth implementation across development cycles.
You’ll need…
Extensive Experience: At least 7 years in product roles, with a robust portfolio showcasing your ability to manage complex projects, break down broad objectives into actionable tasks, and deliver successful outcomes. Your experience should include leading impactful teams and solving user and business challenges.
Leadership & Team Management: Proven experience managing and mentoring teams to be their best. You inspire creativity, maintain high standards, and foster professional growth, motivating your team to exceed expectations.
Expertise: Proficiency with tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD. Strong problem-solving capabilities and an understanding of UX and accessibility best practices. You are skilled at guiding your team through complex challenges.
Effective Collaboration: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to present and justify decisions to internal teams and stakeholders. You have experience working with cross-functional teams to align on priorities and move strategic initiatives forward.
Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to balance visionary thinking with tactical execution. You break down complex challenges into manageable components, keeping your team aligned on common objectives.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the legal tech space is a plus, but a keen interest in learning about legal technology and its impact on users is essential.
You’ll thrive in this role if…
You are a strategic leader who excels in both visionary thinking and tactical execution. You have low ego and can action feedback to produce the best end result for the team and our users. You enjoy and are successful at fostering team growth and a culture of innovation and experimentation. You have a passion for creating exceptional user experiences. You are driven by results, capable of overcoming setbacks, and take pride in mentoring others to achieve excellence. You are excited about tackling unique challenges that require creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration, and you’re eager to revolutionise the way professionals solve complex problems.
