We are seeking a Part-Time Accountant to join our team. This role offers a great balance of in-office collaboration and potential remote working flexibility. The successful candidate will be instrumental in handling personal tax returns, VAT, and end-of-year accounts, with a possibility to transition to a full-time role based on performance and business needs.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage and execute personal tax returns annually.
  • Handle complex VAT issues and end-of-year accounts.
  • Utilise Xero for daily operations and transition to TaxCalc.
  • Process payroll using BrightPay.
  • Work closely with overseas team members on VAT returns.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance.
  • Provide financial insights and forecasts to aid in decision-making.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience in an accountancy practice, qualification by experience (QBE) acceptable.
  • Proficient in using Xero or TaxCalc.
  • Strong understanding of personal tax, VAT returns, and end-of-year accounting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with BrightPay for payroll processing (desirable).
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
