Business Analyst - Retail

Department/Practice: Business Analyst – Retail – Talent and Recruitment – 7 to 11 years of experience

Job Purpose and Primary Objectives:

1. Able to link technical solutions with business strategy when working with business partners. Knowledge of how competitors are using IT solutions to gain a competitive edge and applying that knowledge to projects.
2. Leading stakeholder management activities, creating opportunities to make stakeholders feel valued and develop trust.
3. Broad and extensive knowledge, especially in Retail Business, to provide interpretive, advisory, or facilitating services for others to achieve results.
4. Extensive knowledge of working on Retail Point of Sale, Back Office Sale, and Integrations.
5. Precisely capture business problems, value drivers, and functional/non-functional requirements, including health, safety, security, usability, data, and supportability considerations.
6. Participate in team efforts to create new best practice materials based on identified gaps, serving as an SME for specific tools, techniques, or business areas.
7. Translate business requirements into functionality and assess the risks, feasibility, opportunities, and business impacts of various solution options.
8. Assess and model processes, data flows, and technology to understand current value and issues, identifying opportunities for improvement.
9. Create clear documentation to communicate requirements and related information; keep updated to align with the solution over the project lifecycle.
10. Ensure traceability of requirements from business needs and requirements through testing and scope changes to the final solution.
11. Interact with software suppliers, designers, and developers to understand software limitations, deliver elements of system and database design, and ensure that business requirements and use cases are handled.
12. Configure and document software and processes using agreed standards and tools.
13. Create acceptance criteria and validate that solutions meet business needs through defining and coordinating testing.
14. Expertise in working on Retail Site System Landscape, with an understanding of POS, BOS, HOS, and functional domains like NFR, Site Operation, Wet Stock Business, Payments/Settlements, etc.
