The client is flexible with working and they are virtual first but there will be a requirement to be in an office. This role is based in Dorset and we are only looking at candidates who are Dorset based.

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum

Location: Dorset (Local candidates only)

Dress Code: Smart casual

We are looking for a Financial Systems Accountant to join our finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role is ideal for someone with strong financial systems experience, excellent analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Financial Systems Accountant Role Overview:

  • You will work closely with the Project Accountant to ensure the accuracy and reconciliation of financial data across multiple entities.
  • Assisting with budget uploads and actuals forecasts in the group reporting software.
  • Supporting the integration of new financial systems into the budgeting tool.
  • Contributing to the preparation of statutory accounts and year-end reports.
  • Assisting with audit requirements and external reporting tasks.
  • Helping to automate the group consolidation process.
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting issues within Workday Adaptive.
  • Supporting the Fixed Asset Reporting Team with asset reviews, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

  • Has experience implementing and working with financial systems.
  • Is confident handling financial reporting, reconciliations, and statutory accounts preparation.
  • Has strong Microsoft Excel skills and can navigate financial software effectively.
  • Can manage fluctuating workloads and meet tight deadlines.
  • Is an excellent communicator who can collaborate with finance and non-finance teams.
  • Has a ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification (part-qualified candidates will also be considered) or at least three years of relevant experience.
  • A full UK driving licence and ability to travel to Dorset offices as required is essential.
