A number of exciting opportunities have arisen to join the University of Oxford’s Reward Team as it expands to develop and embed a Total Reward strategy and offering. The Total Reward Specialist will play a key role in supporting a wide range of operational reward processes, not limited to pay and benefits, whilst driving continuous improvement and contributing to strategic change projects.
Reporting to the Head of Reward, this role will support and contribute to the design and delivery of impactful reward projects and initiatives that attract, retain, and motivate employees. Collaborating closely with divisional and departmental HR teams, the role is required to provide both operational and strategic support on reward-related matters, ensuring consistency, fairness, and competitiveness across the University.
You will have sound knowledge of all aspects of total reward, including pay, benefits, and recognition schemes, and proven experience in advising stakeholders on reward-related matters along with a professional, proactive approach to supporting line managers, providing persuasive and effective advice. You will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to engage with colleagues at all levels and build good working relationships, plus the organisational capability to balance day-to-day tasks with longer-term projects.
