A fabulous role with a small & boutique agency specialising in corporate accommodation for prestigious events in the UK & Europe. With exciting plans for future growth, the passionate, friendly team is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper/Junior Accountant who can operate under pressure and has a track record of accurate accounting to join at an exciting time in the company's history and to grow with the planned expansion.
You will have day to day responsibility for all bookkeeping and management accounts preparation for 2 entities.
Key Responsibilities- Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations
- Preparing and entering journals into Xero
- Supporting the preparation of management accounts and month-end duties
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts
- Reviewing and setting up supplier payments
- Review of accounts receivable
- Assisting with monthly payroll and commission calculations
- Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
- Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns and other reporting requirements
- Working with the Sales & Operations team to problem solve and fix variances
- Proficient with accounting software, specifically Xero (essential)
- Organised and have great attention to detail
- Confident and know your way round Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
- Personable and good on the telephone
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work as a part of a team
- Adaptable and ability to create efficiencies
- Ideally you will have some previous experience working in a small team
- French language, and/or experience of the travel sector, an advantage
