We are looking for an excellent highly committed and focused Organisational Development project manager to support the first year of the implementation of our new Workforce and Organisational Development Strategy, working on a variety of key workforce projects and supporting the governance, monitoring and evaluation of the strategy. You will enjoy delivering in a fast-paced environment and working with staff from all parts of the organisation. You will be an experienced practitioner who works in a values-based way with integrity and enthusiasm.

Main duties of the job

The role will require a range of organisational development aspects from diagnostics, utilising data and analysis of multiple data sources. Staff engagement is a primary factor for all the work we do. Governance, monitoring and evaluation of multiple work streams is also key to this role, as is excellent project management, and the ability to write succinct papers and present at a range of trust forums.

The post-holder will be a core member of the Staff Experience team working on a variety of projects including:

  1. Supporting projects within the Workforce and Organisational Development Strategy as well as monitoring, tracking and evaluating effectiveness.
  2. Supporting the development and delivery of trust-wide strategic workforce projects.
  3. Supporting the delivery of projects including; Bullying, Harassment, Kindness, Civility and Respect; further embedding UCLH values; Staff Recognition; Staff Retention; Violence Prevention and Reduction.
  4. Leading on the UCLH Hardship Fund including the approvals committee.
  5. From time to time, deputising for the Head of Staff Experience in relation to the Workforce and Organisational Development Strategy.

Person specification

Knowledge & Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Degree and/or an appropriate professional qualification or equivalent
  • Post graduate HR/OD qualification or equivalent experience
  • Significant knowledge of delivering strategic projects or large scale projects as a senior manager in a large multifaceted healthcare or similar environment.
  • Sustained record of continued professional development

Desirable criteria

  • Project-management qualification

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Work in a large and complex organisation (public or private)
  • Experience of managing complex, large-scale and high-profile projects
  • Experience of Organisational Development practice using context-appropriate methodologies in large organisations

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of working with qualitative and survey data.
  • Experience in a consulting environment or capacity

Skills & Abilities

Essential criteria

  • Excellent skills of influencing, persuasion and negotiation
  • Strong analytical and data-evaluation skills
  • Ability to present complex data in a clear format – both verbally and in writing.
  • Good organisational skills and abilities
