The Sales Manager for Direct Business is responsible for driving sales growth by directly engaging with clients, managing key accounts, and developing new business opportunities. This role involves overseeing the entire sales process, from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve direct business sales targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through direct engagement with potential clients.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with key accounts to ensure long-term business growth.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for direct sales.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Present key travel components to clients and create detailed quotations.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure profitable deals.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to clients, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Operate the tours secured through their own sales activities, ensuring smooth execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Align with superiors to define and develop sales strategies through discussions and collaboration.
What you need to succeed in the role:
  • Proven experience in sales in travel industries and/or DMC. Minimum 3-5 years of experience are required.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and techniques as well as destination knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good skills for presentation, and making the best ITI.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the travel industry.
  • Destination knowledge of the UK and Benelux.
  • Proficiency in languages other than English is preferable.
