Based in Park Royal/Southall area (and a 2nd future site in Maidenhead area), this is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Production Manager to oversee and enhance operations within our Engineering & Manufacturing department within the food/health food manufacturing production environment!

Our client is a London (and Maidenhead) based start-up/scale-up within the Food manufacturing industry, renowned for their commitment to innovation, consumer health without compromise to taste and exceptional product quality. With a strong presence in Park Royal and a soon to be second site in the Maidenhead/Slough area, they strive to disrupt the Food FMCG industry. The Production Manager role will be instrumental in leading the Manufacturing & Engineering team in this next phase of growth.

Description

  • Manage and oversee production operations within the Engineering & Manufacturing department.
  • Lead the team to achieve and exceed production goals while maintaining a strong emphasis on both quality and operational efficiency.
  • Implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor and maintain product quality and standards.
  • Analyse workflows, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective strategies to boost productivity and minimise waste.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Handle resource planning and allocation.
  • Take charge in fast-paced situations, making decisions that are both practical and cost-effective to drive positive outcomes.
  • Maintain safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide leadership and manage the production team effectively.
  • Participate in budget planning and cost control measures.
  • Experience on Continuous Improvement projects.

Profile

  • A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field.
  • Food manufacturing a MUST -- preferably within baking, desserts, or other dry short shelf-life foods.
  • Proficient knowledge of production operations and management; as well as continuous improvement.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills; ability to build teams and good company culture.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities; someone who enjoys lots of variables and dynamic working environment.
  • Proficiency in using data/states to help make smart decisions; KPI focused.
  • Solid knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Commutable to Park Royal/Southall London area & Maidenhead area.
  • Able to work about 40 hour work weeks.
