The successful candidate must model excellent verbal and written communication skills, have an outstanding understanding of effective curriculum design and be able to inspire students and staff to be the best they can be. This is a full-time and permanent position starting in September.

Requirements:

  • Must hold QTS/QTLS
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Must provide 2 proven professional references
  • The ability to lead the school team effectively and efficiently and work with other professionals and agencies
  • Ability to model well-planned, organised and innovative lessons for the department
  • The ability to lead curriculum development and innovation

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, deliver, and assess English language and Literature teaching in the English, as required, according to student needs and teacher allocations
  • Create an engaging classroom environment that motivates students to learn and ensure all student expectations are high
  • The ability to lead, model and manage positive behaviour, good order and assertive discipline in the department
  • Lead curriculum development and innovation
  • Provide appropriate levels of challenge so that students learn effectively and acquire new skills and knowledge
