Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chiller Commissioning Engineer to join the commissioning team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the commissioning of chiller systems on various projects, with a primary focus on critical cooling applications such as data centres. This role will involve working across London and the surrounding Home Counties. The ideal candidate will have experience with chiller systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commission and test chiller systems, ensuring they meet all performance and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct system inspections and diagnostics, identifying and resolving any issues or faults.
- Collaborate with the project management team to ensure smooth and efficient system commissioning.
- Provide technical support and guidance to site teams during installation and start-up phases.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Work across various sites, primarily data centres, ensuring all work is completed within set deadlines.
- Document commissioning results and complete relevant paperwork for client records.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest chiller technologies.
- Provide on-call support as required and be open to overtime opportunities.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in chiller commissioning, installation, or maintenance, preferably with critical cooling systems.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, with a focus on chillers and associated cooling equipment.
- Previous experience working in data centre environments is highly advantageous.
- Excellent troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple sites.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with project teams and clients.
- A full, clean UK driving license is essential.
- Relevant qualifications in HVAC or chiller systems (City & Guilds, F-Gas, etc.)
