We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Early Years Practitioner to join our passionate team for a permanent role. A minimum of a Level 3 Early Years Qualification is required. All successful candidates will be subject to safer recruitment checks, including a fully completed Application Form and DBS Checks.

DUTIES

  • Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met throughout the nursery.
  • Plan activities appropriate for the age group and stage development to ensure children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences, following all supporting guidelines as laid out in the EYFS.
  • Communicate clearly and efficiently with parents/guardians regarding their child’s development.
  • Provide an appealing, creative and stimulating room and environment where the nursery values are upheld.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor always.
  • Promote respect and credibility for this position through effective communication skills, impartiality, and consistency.
  • Inspire staff team with creative ideas and new challenges with the aim to achieve outstanding practice.
  • Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff.
  • Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.

Requirements

  • A Christian faith believer - Essential
  • Over 2 years’ experience of working in Early Years - Essential
  • Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
  • Sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
  • Leadership experience - Desirable
  • Experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding - Desirable

Permanent - Monday to Friday, 8am - 6pm

Salary Range - £26,000 - £30,000

Role type - Onsite

Location - Heritage House, 19-20 St. Mary’s Place Southampton, SO14 3HY
