An excellent and rare opportunity has arisen for a senior level Financial Regulatory lawyer to join a leading global firm as a Knowledge Counsel (PSL). As the sole PSL in the firm's growing Financial Regulatory group, you will be joining a well established Knowledge function and will have a challenging and exciting role working collaboratively with lawyers and other professionals in other parts of the firm (including those based in overseas offices) in a supportive and collegiate environment. You will work with the Knowledge partners to develop and drive forward the group's Knowledge function for the benefit of lawyers and clients.
This broad role will include:
- Developing the group's training programme
- Mentoring junior lawyers
- Keeping the team up to date on significant legal and regulatory changes
- Producing internal updates and client publications
- Assisting with raising the firm's profile in the Financial Regulatory area
- Involvement in legal technology and process improvement projects
- Participating in firmwide Knowledge initiatives
For this role you will need to have significant and broad knowledge and experience (equivalent to that of a partner or counsel) covering key UK and European regulatory areas, including MiFID, AIFMD, financial crime and FinTech developments. You will have considerable experience of client facing work. Prior PSL experience would be highly beneficial.
