Are you passionate about putting people at the heart of manufacturing? We are seeking a highly effective leader to drive a culture of manufacturing excellence at our Grangemouth Manufacturing Centre, working closely with operational teams to enhance performance and inspire cultural transformation. You will lead Syngenta’s agenda for manufacturing excellence on the site, utilizing your experience in continuous improvement to deliver productivity and technical capability.
As a key member of the Site Leadership Team, reporting to the Site Manager, you will lead and develop a team of specialists and change agents to deliver:
- OpEx frameworks and processes;
- Skills and competence development;
- Sustainability plans and objectives;
- Digital and data system transformation.
In collaboration with the Site Leadership Team, you will develop and drive a site transformation program focused on our team, our ways of working and future site development. You will be part of a Global Manufacturing Network, and this role offers a unique opportunity to drive continuous improvement and shape the future of manufacturing excellence.
Qualifications and required experience:
- Degree in relevant subject with strong experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to provide highly effective leadership in a large, complex environment on a large scale, with a focus on putting people at the heart of operations.
- Proven experience in driving and leading initiatives for manufacturing excellence.
- Ability to lead cultural transformation and inspire others, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Strong strategic planning skills, with the ability to align plans with global business objectives and longer-term strategic intents of the site.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence others in order to achieve objectives and overcome barriers to change.
Syngenta's Grangemouth Manufacturing Centre is one of our two award-winning manufacturing sites in the UK. The site was founded in 1919 and today employs nearly 400 skilled people in a variety of roles that include manufacturing, engineering, scientific and production support. Our goal is to operate “safely, reliably and cost effectively” and to help growers protect their crops and increase their yield.
