We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer to join our global tools team in London, working closely with our business stakeholders within Equities and Prime Finance. This role requires a blend of technical expertise across multiple technologies and the ability to work effectively in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop and maintain complex applications using Python, React, and Java - with particular focus on designing clean, reusable components and structured RESTful endpoints
- Create and optimize database solutions and data models
- Dedication to enhanced performance monitoring and optimization techniques
- Integration of a robust suite of unit, integration and end-to-end tests to ensure system reliability
- Manage and improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins/GitLab
- Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical architecture decisions
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality standards
- Strong proficiency in Python development and design patterns
- Advanced React.js experience, including state management and modern React patterns
- Solid understanding of database design and optimization
- Working knowledge of Java development
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or GitLab)
- Version control with Git
- Several years of software development experience
- Proven track record of delivering complex technical solutions
- Experience working in an agile development environment
- Background in financial services/investment banking preferred
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in mentoring junior developers
Hybrid working model with minimum 3 days in office.
