Head of PMO

About the Role

As Head of PMO, you will be responsible for developing and implementing best-in-class policies, procedures, and systems to optimise project management across large-scale infrastructure projects. You\’ll oversee all project controls workstreams, ensuring compliance and efficiency from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement policies and procedures for project scheduling, risk management, budgeting, and cost control.
• Ensure consistent application of PMO best practices across all major capital projects.
• Oversee project schedules, financial forecasting, and risk registers, driving proactive risk mitigation.
• Manage contract-related financial activities and cost controls, ensuring accurate reporting.
• Lead change control processes, monitor project progress, and recommend corrective actions.
• Establish strong relationships with contractors, partners, and internal teams to drive project success.
• Develop and oversee the PMO team, ensuring effective leadership, development, and performance management.

What We\’re Looking For

• 8-10 years of experience in procurement and contract management within the energy or infrastructure sector.
• Degree in procurement, supply chain management, quantity surveying, business, or construction law.
• MCIPS or MRICS qualification required.
• Strong understanding of FIDIC and NEC contracts.
• Experience working within robust procurement systems and processes.
• Commercial acumen with strong negotiation and contract management skills
