About the Role
We are expanding our professional training business and looking for an ambitious commercial lead to drive the growth of our courses. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your sales and relationship-building skills to bring our high-quality training to a wide audience. You'll join a friendly, collaborative team with a strong purpose, a reputation for excellence, and a supportive working culture. This is a part-time role (three days a week), based in our Cannon Street training centre in central London, reporting to the Managing Director of PA Media Academy.
What You'll Do
- Use your commercial expertise to lead the Professional Training side of the PA Media Academy, focusing on delivering top-tier courses and programmes.
- Drive revenue growth by managing budgets and meeting revenue targets across our Professional Training products.
- Leverage your proposal writing skills to secure new clients and convert opportunities into revenue.
- Ensure exceptional course delivery, maintaining the high-quality standard our Academy is known for.
- Collaborate with staff and freelance tutors, providing clear briefs and support, while developing new partnerships where necessary.
- Build strong, lasting relationships with clients, ensuring high-quality client management to grow existing accounts.
- Take ownership of the curriculum, keeping courses up-to-date and relevant, and commissioning new courses when needed.
- Collaborate with the wider team to share resources and knowledge across the training business for maximum impact.
- Partner with the Marketing team to create effective communication strategies that showcase our training offerings.
About you
You will bring substantial commercial experience with the ability to identify opportunities and win new business. You will also need:
- Confidence and experience in pitching to clients and prospects.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to lead and grow your own business area.
- Strong understanding of business, finance, and the media, content, and communications industries.
- Exceptional organisational skills and experience managing long-term projects to meet goals.
- Proven ability to work with clients, delivering projects that exceed expectations while driving business success.
- Excellent people management skills, with experience briefing and leading both staff and freelance teams.
