A growing region in Staffordshire is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the team, reporting to the Commercial Manager. Along with a salary of up to £59,000 per annum, you will receive a range of benefits including a bonus scheme, progression opportunities and a generous car allowance/company car. Assistant Quantity Surveyors are also encouraged to apply. This is a full-time role where you will enjoy the family feel environment and supportive culture.
As Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:
- Producing, managing and forecasting build costs, overseeing subcontract procurement, payments and valuations.
- Leading the tendering process, procuring subcontractors and overseeing the payment process, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
- Maintaining overall budget oversight, managing cost overruns with contingency levels and obtaining approvals for variations exceeding budget limits.
- Staying up to date with construction materials and methods whilst ensuring compliance with regulations, codes of practice and NHBC/LABS requirements.
- Supporting site management in reviewing subcontractor performance as needed.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, within housebuilding or residential developments in the UK.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail in budgeting and valuations.
- Ability to remain composed under pressure with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in IT systems within a commercial environment.
- Full UK driving licence required.
