As an Associate in the Private Capital team, you will play a key part in the execution of private placements of equity and equity-linked securities for late-stage private companies across sectors. The role requires strong financial modelling skills, experience preparing investor materials, and the ability to manage complex workstreams across live transactions. You will support senior team members in client engagement and investor interaction while helping to guide Analysts and coordinate across internal functions, including sector and country investment banking teams as well as Equity Capital Markets. This is a fast-paced high-impact position suited to candidates with a solid background in private capital or M&A and a strong interest in the evolving private capital landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of private placements of equity and equity-linked securities including preparation of marketing materials and term sheets.
- Support senior bankers in developing pitch materials for new business opportunities.
- Build detailed financial models and valuation analyses to support negotiations and client decision making.
- Coordinate due diligence processes and investor discussions.
- Assist in managing outreach to institutional investors including tracking feedback and organizing investor meetings.
- Conduct research on investor preferences, market trends, and comparable transactions to inform client strategy and positioning.
- Collaborate with analysts, VPs, and sector teams to deliver high-quality materials.
- Help mentor and train junior team members in technical and process management skills.
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in investment banking in a private capital or M&A team.
- Strong financial modelling & valuation skills and understanding of private capital structures.
- Written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas.
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams with high attention to detail and efficiency.
- Deep interest in the private capital ecosystem and understanding of key investor types.
