The cost controller’s role is an office/home based position, the primary function is to manage & track all costs of the business. This includes ensuring suppliers are set up correctly and details remain up to date and compliant, processing & managing site orders, approving invoices, closing out invoice queries & tracking project costs. Secondarily the role is a project support position helping the commercial team in their day to day duties. The role may require the individual to work across a variety of departments within the business.
Primary Tasks and Duties:
- Managing & tracking costs on live projects
- Managing supply chain
- Reconciling invoices
- Supporting the commercial director in the execution of their duties
Experience and Qualifications:
- Positive attitude!
- A full UK driving licence;
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in construction
Skills and Abilities:
- Previous experiences of cost control or purchasing in construction
- Knowledge of the general contracting/subcontracting
- Good knowledge of excel
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team;
- Demonstrate logical and independent thinking
- Related academic qualifications.
- Experience in earthworks/remediation
