About the role
You will be the figurehead for our Financial Services Centre of Excellence across Europe. You will be responsible for developing and delivering a Europe-wide strategy for the Financial Services CoE and ensuring that industry-specific expertise is available to support opportunities across all European markets, with a specific focus on our largest markets, strategic clients, and prospects. The European Financial Services CoE Lead will work closely with the relationship management team to support defined target accounts within the industry vertical.
You will also be responsible for providing industry-specific knowledge and expertise to the product team to feed into and shape future developments to support growth and working with client experience to build and engage industry-specific client communities via the digital client portal. You will be a true expert and thought leader in your field, with a detailed understanding of industry-specific opportunities and challenges faced by clients. You will represent Dun & Bradstreet at industry events across Europe, draft thought leadership content, and present with gravitas and credibility to clients, prospects, industry stakeholders, and the media. In the longer-term, the CoE Lead will be part of the European Business Advisory function, but for the interim, they will report to the GM for Europe.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owner of the European Centre of Excellence strategy for a specific industry vertical, collaborating closely with colleagues in Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, Customer Success, and Product to deliver to defined KPIs and growth targets.
- Expert figurehead for the specific industry vertical, able to speak confidently at external industry events/podcasts/webinars, present to clients and prospects, and engage with the media.
- Thought leader – able to draft and develop content specific to the industry vertical to support the production of both internal collateral and external articles, whitepapers, and case studies – collaborating closely with colleagues in Marketing, Communications, and Sales Enablement.
- Confidence to influence product and data acquisition roadmaps based on client feedback to help ensure D&B services are aligned and meet the objectives of strategic clients within the industry vertical.
- Leadership of specialists – once this role is appointed, it is expected a small number of specialists within specific industry verticals may report directly to the job holder, details to be confirmed on appointment.
- Work closely with the European Partnerships team to build out and implement a strategic partnership strategy for this vertical.
- Identify key growth opportunities, target accounts, and new strategic C-level relationships working closely with relationship management teams and solution sales teams across Europe.
- Meet key performance metrics laid out in your annual objectives including European growth for the industry vertical, thought leadership content development, client activity levels, external events, and internal workshops.
- Communicate progress via accurate and timely reporting to the European GMs on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Regular travel across key European locations to support external events and meetings, and internal workshops and meetings.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Key requirements:
- Minimum of eight years in a senior sales or senior consulting role specializing in Financial Services.
- Experience working in a regional-based role covering multiple countries.
- Proven experience and evidence of public speaking.
- Thought leadership content development.
- In-depth industry knowledge, including trends, pain points, and regional nuances.
- Ability to professionally communicate, present, and influence C-level stakeholders.
- Experience of developing and implementing an industry-specific strategy.
- Experience of building strong working relationships with other teams to achieve common goals in lieu of direct reporting lines – e.g., partnerships, sales, marketing & communications, product.
