Job Description

Support and Inclusion Officer

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for Support and Inclusion Officers to join a dedicated team working to prevent homelessness and support individuals in securing sustainable housing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with individuals to help them stay in their homes and prevent homelessness
  • Support homeless households in finding long-term accommodation
  • Develop personalised housing and support plans tailored to each client's needs
  • Provide tenancy advice and assist with applications for housing and welfare benefits
  • Liaise with landlords, private sector housing providers, and partner agencies to prevent eviction
  • Deliver support in a range of community settings, including home visits
  • Empower vulnerable individuals to live independently and maintain their tenancies
  • Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in housing support, social care, or customer service
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload and work independently
  • Compassionate and resilient when supporting vulnerable individuals
  • IT proficiency and attention to detail in record-keeping
  • Team player with a proactive approach

Requirements:

  • GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel as needed
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing demands
