Overview:

Our client, a specialist contractor within the passive fire protection industry, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of projects across the UK. The role is primarily site-based, with occasional visits to head office as required. Projects will span residential and local authority properties, including social housing schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver passive fire protection projects across various sites nationwide
  • Oversee fire-stopping and fire door installations within residential and social housing properties
  • Supervise on-site activities to ensure full compliance with fire safety regulations and certification standards
  • Coordinate and manage teams of operatives and subcontractors
  • Maintain accurate site records, reports, and project documentation
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Conduct inspections to ensure all works meet FIRAS or BM TRADA standards
  • Provide regular progress updates to senior management and attend project meetings as required

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within passive fire protection
  • Experience working in lofts or similar confined spaces
  • SMSTS or SSSTS certification (essential)
  • FIRAS or BM TRADA accreditation (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of fire-stopping systems and relevant UK building regulations
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
