We are working with a highly regarded law firm that is seeking a Knowledge Lawyer to join their Tax & Trusts practice. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced private client lawyer to take on a pivotal role within a well-established and top-tier ranked team.
This position sits at the core of the firm’s Tax & Trusts team, which is led by five partners and supported by a strong group of lawyers, accountants, and paralegals. The team has an exceptional reputation, advising a diverse client base that includes affluent families, entrepreneurs, business owners, trustees, and international clients. The firm is recognised for its high-calibre work and has a significant market presence.
The Knowledge Lawyer will play a key role in enhancing the team’s technical knowledge, ensuring best practices, and delivering high-quality training. Responsibilities include:
- Managing and developing a comprehensive suite of precedents, guidance notes, and know-how materials.
- Monitoring and communicating key legal developments in UK and international tax, trusts, and estate planning.
- Organising and delivering engaging team training sessions.
- Providing specialist practical and technical support on complex legal matters.
- Overseeing learning & development initiatives for team members, including new joiners and trainees.
- Supporting business development strategies through thought leadership and content creation.
- Exploring and implementing legal technology solutions to enhance efficiency.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 5 years’ PQE in private client law, with a strong focus on tax, trusts, and estate planning.
- Experience as a Knowledge Lawyer or a desire to transition into this role.
- A collaborative and approachable nature, capable of forming strong working relationships across the firm.
- Exceptional legal research and drafting skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts.
The firm supports a flexible working culture, offering both full-time and part-time options (minimum three days per week). Hybrid working is encouraged, with a minimum office presence of two days per week (pro-rated for part-time workers).
