We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Data Integration Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering our digital transformation roadmap, enhancing our capabilities, and supporting our Engineering strategy to drive improvements across teams. Our client is undergoing a major digital transformation, focusing on building out a Single Digital Platform centered around Salesforce, integrating data with legacy systems, and utilizing a significant .NET estate, Azure services, and various frontend web applications.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Lead by example within an agile engineering team, inspiring excellence and setting best practices for design and implementation.
- Take ownership of ensuring delivery outcomes are met, as outlined in our product roadmap.
- Drive the design, development, and ongoing support of data integrations for our strategic customer platform (Salesforce-based).
- Work in a DevOps environment to build and maintain data integrations, with a focus on Azure Data Factory and real-time data integration solutions to scale our platform.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation, automation, and monitoring of data integrations.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the development team, supporting their growth and success.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the technology team and across the IT department.
What You Will Bring:
- Proven experience leading high-performing engineering teams.
- Hands-on experience integrating with Salesforce using real-time, batch, and sync/async methods.
- Expertise in databases, database architecture, SQL, and stored procedures.
- Strong background in data integration technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Apache Airflow, and Databricks AutoLoader.
- Proficiency in building CI/CD pipelines and implementing infrastructure as code.
- Experience with event-driven data flows and message aggregation technologies (Event Hub, Apache Kafka).
- A solid understanding of current and emerging technologies and how they can deliver business value.
- Desirable experience with data matching processes.
- Strong ability to translate business strategies into technical solutions and business requirements into technical designs.
