The Role:
We’re looking for a results-driven Business Development Consultant with experience in apprenticeships, commercial training, or B2B sales. You will be responsible for generating new business, developing existing accounts, and engaging employers to promote apprenticeship and training solutions. This role requires a consultative sales approach, strong relationship management, and a drive to meet and exceed targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage employer relationships to identify and sell training solutions
- Achieve a minimum of 20 new starts per month across all training programmes
- Manage your sales pipeline, CRM, and employer engagement activities
- Offer a consultative approach to employers, helping them maximize their apprenticeship levy
- Identify new business opportunities, attend networking events, and represent the company professionally
- Conduct high-level research to develop tailored sales solutions
- Present and negotiate apprenticeship/training contracts with key decision-makers
- Stay updated on government funding and apprenticeship levy regulations
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven B2B sales experience (apprenticeships, commercial training, or recruitment preferred)
- Strong negotiation, networking, and presentation skills
- Ability to generate and convert leads into long-term business relationships
- Experience with CRM systems, strategic sales planning, and hitting/exceeding sales targets
- Knowledge of apprenticeship funding & levy (preferred but not essential)
- Full UK driving licence required
