Key Responsibilities:
- Provision of a comprehensive service in Oncology with consultant colleagues, including new patient and follow-up clinics at Derby and Buxton. The Department also undertakes a variety of joint clinics with other specialties.
- Provision of emergency cover and reciprocal cover for your consultant colleagues during reasonable periods of leave, on a shared basis. This will include care of patients and the supervision of junior doctors.
- The care of patients in their charge and for the proper functioning of the Department.
- Undertaking teaching/training duties as required and actively participating in the postgraduate and undergraduate teaching programmes.
- Participating in clinical and medical audit and actively contributing in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance.
- Actively participating in continuing medical education (CME).
- You will contribute to Consultant shifts in SDEC.
Requirements to Apply:
- Substantive Consultant Evidence of entry on GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of attaining CCT at time of interview.
