Our client, a prestigious international City law firm renowned for its exceptional reputation, is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile matters within a globally recognised firm. The employment practice is consistently ranked highly in the Legal 500 and Chambers, and acts for an impressive portfolio of clients in the financial services, technology, pharmaceutical, and transportation sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing tribunal litigation across all aspects of employment law, with opportunities for advocacy at preliminary hearings.
- Providing advice to HR Managers, In-house Counsel, Managing Directors, and other senior personnel on various employee relations issues.
- Drafting, reviewing, and advising on HR policies, employment contracts, and directors’ service agreements.
- Representing high net worth individuals in negotiating service agreements, team moves, or termination arrangements.
- Advising international clients on UK employment law and coordinating international projects and advice.
- Handling High Court proceedings related to business protection for employers or employees.
- Offering corporate support, often acting as the sole employment specialist (excluding pensions) in corporate transactions.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
The successful Employment Solicitor must be UK-qualified, with ideally 10+ PQE in the UK with a solid relevant background.
