An exciting opportunity for an SC Cleared DevOps Engineer to join an agile multi-disciplinary platform engineering team within the Defence sector. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for sharing expertise and best DevOps practice for the benefit of the team.
Required Experience/Skills:
- A positive and proactive consultant who can work independently, as well as part of a close-knit team
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Maintaining close relationships with demanding stakeholders throughout the project
- Supporting in project delivery, seeing projects through to commercially successful conclusion
- Collaborating with other DevOps Engineers within the team
- Developing common services, manuals to support delivery teams in taking ownership of their services
- MOD experience
Required Technical Skills:
- Experience working in a DevOps environment building and/or supporting automated CI/CD pipelines (using tools like Tekton and Github Actions)
- Experience integrating security scanning tools such as SonarQube, Anchore, OWASP ZAP
- Namespace provisioning and management
- Configure and maintain Infrastructure-as-code using Docker/Padman and Kubernetes (OpenShift and Tanzu)
- Containerised services (such as Postgres, Redis, Kafka, Keycloak, Elk)
- Storage (S3-Compatible)
- Python and PySpark for ETL pipelines and data engineering tasks
- Dependency using Poetry and Dependabot
- Gunicorn for Python Flask applications
- Elasticsearch for advanced search

- Rate Offered: Up to £495 per day
- IR35 Status: Outside
- Initial Duration: 12 Months initial sign up
