We’re pleased to share a rare opportunity to welcome a Marine Claims Surveyor/Loss Adjuster to our expert team, with the opportunity to work with a variety of Sedgwick specialists and with colleagues in the Global Marine Practice Group.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Investigation of both marine cargo and freight liability claims.
  2. Investigate the cargo owner & carrier logistic practices, circumstances, and cause of each loss with consideration of policy cover.
  3. Consider liabilities for both the cargo owner and carriers in a transit chain.
  4. Secure recoveries from other carriers and non-contracted third parties.

You will have/will be:

  • “Roll up sleeves” attitude getting involved directly in the workload.
  • Cert CII/Cert CILA or BACS qualified (or with a commitment to achieve such).
  • Able to demonstrate experience in adjusting in a commercial environment.
  • Comfortable managing time and working under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Willing to undertake further training to fulfil the requirements of the role.
  • Willing to travel on company business on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Full UK driving licence.
