We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic Technical General Services Manager to join our team in Washington NE37 1PA and play a key role in driving excellence and innovation.
About the Role
- Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation, with all statutory requirements met and records maintained.
- Report accidents or unsafe situations immediately and document them accordingly.
- Coordinate and direct activities across all service lines, ensuring compliance with safe systems and legislative requirements.
- Deliver activities in line with local Account Strategies, monitor service delivery, and ensure best practices are implemented.
- Oversee the quality and consistency of Sodexo service delivery, manage service failures, and promote innovation and efficiencies.
- Lead and manage the service team, ensuring the right personnel are recruited, inducted, and equipped with necessary PPE.
- Ensure budgets and forecasts are met, protect company profit, and maintain high-quality records.
- Actively seek improvements, network within the industry for best practices, and work on overcoming barriers to success.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in managing a team to deliver high-quality service and excellent client relationships.
- Strong communication, relationship-building skills, and experience working in a matrixed environment.
- IT literate, financially astute, with a broad knowledge of service lines and legislative requirements.
- IOSH Managing Safely qualification and a background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Previous experience in managing Legionella and mitigating risks with expert guidance.
- Proven experience in developing profitable relationships, with a RIPH Intermediate or NEBOSH General Certificate.
- Strong commercial experience, negotiation skills, and compliance/environmental standards knowledge.
