Our Contingent Workforce Solution (CWS) is one of our service offerings; we act as an extension of our clients' recruitment team and provide professional interim and temporary resources. We are looking for 3 Buyers for a 12-month contract based in Derby on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs. Please note this position is a hybrid working arrangement; 3 days per week on-site and 2 days remote working. Job description – the role These Buyer positions will provide a fantastic opportunity to use and develop experience in fast paced negotiation, cost analysis, solution development and implementation to achieve favourable outcomes for the organisation. You will be working on a new procurement project managing new contract renewals. As a Strategic Buyer you will be responsible for: Lead Negotiations: prepare for and undertake fast paced solo negotiations on price and terms in line with the developed processes and tools. Data Tracking & Reporting: maintain accurate records of negotiated pricing and terms. Provide regular reports to senior management on progress and negotiation outcomes. Process Development: develop standard and clear processes and tools that meet stakeholder requirements and enable the efficient and effective negotiation of procurement contracts. Continual Improvement: constantly analyse, identify and implement improvements to those processes and tools.What we require from the Strategic Buyer : Experience in a fast-moving procurement project; ideally in an aerospace environment, but will also consider applications from candidates coming from other engineering manufacturing environments Negotiation Skills: experienced in negotiating prices and contracts for procurement projects Analytical & Logical: proficient in data gathering and analysis as well as a logical approach to identifying improvements and problem solving. Experience with Excel and Power BI Driven: a strong drive to hit deadlines and targets at the required costs and quality. Communication Skills: strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and external parties.
