Leading international events business seeks an experienced Accounts Receivable Executive to join their finance team. This is a part-time hybrid role for an Accounts Receivable Specialist based in Guildford with the flexibility to work from home.

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with finance, invoicing, debt collection, and communication.

Responsibilities:
  • Issuing sales invoices, allocating them to the correct nominal and project codes
  • Maintenance of the sales ledger & sales day book
  • Dealing and working with multi-currencies across several foreign entities
  • Managing merchant accounts (Stripe) for credit card receipts
  • Close collaboration with the sales and delivery teams to ensure quick and effective invoicing and debt collection
  • Chase international/multi-currency overdue invoices
  • Ensuring debts are paid in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity
  • Processing and issuing credits/refunds
  • Respond promptly to both client and internal enquiries and queries
  • Undertake account reconciliations as required
  • Assisting with audits and checking for discrepancies in financial accounts
Desired skills and experience:
  • 1-2 years relevant experience is highly desirable - experience in accounts receivable or similar.
  • Strong experience issuing invoices via sales orders
  • Able to demonstrate experience of working in an international/multi-currency accounts receivable department
  • Familiar with vendor onboarding procedures
  • Proficiency in working with spreadsheets/Google Sheets
  • A good knowledge of SAP (Business One) – desirable but not essential
  • Strong understanding of finance
  • Ideally Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Ideally ACCA part-qualified or similar industry-recognised qualification
